Indigenous Fashion Show

Step into the vibrant world of Indigenous fashion at Casa, in partnership with the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge. This special evening celebrates Indigenous creativity and culture through contemporary fashion, bringing together traditional craftsmanship, modern design and the evolving art of wearable expression.

The show will feature collections by four Indigenous artists, worn by Indigenous models. Among the featured designers are Conroy Obey and his daughter, Nayana, who will come together to co-design a collection for the show. Their collaboration offers a beautiful glimpse into the way culture, creativity and knowledge can be shared across generations. This father-daughter duo celebrate the connections between West African and Indigenous communities inspiring their Afro-Indigenous designs.

The evening will also feature presentations by contenders for the 2026 Honouring Traditions Princess Pageant. Between designers, these young Indigenous leaders will share their stories and aspirations and dance, grounding the evening in culture and ceremony.
