Honouring Traditions Reconciliation Society 3rd Annual Powwow

The Honouring Traditions and Reconciliation Society Powwow was a resounding success, uniting community members to celebrate Indigenous culture and promote reconciliation. We were thrilled to crown the HTRS princesses, who embody the spirit of our traditions. A special thank you goes to the contributing groups, including local Indigenous organizations, and to the Allied Arts Council and AHS for their invaluable collaboration and support throughout the month of September. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors for their generous contributions, which helped create an unforgettable experience that honored our heritage and fostered understanding within our community.

Honouring Traditions 2025 Princess Pageant

The first-ever Honouring Traditions & Reconciliation (HTRS) Princess Pageant was a meaningful event held at Casa in Lethbridge on September 10th, focusing on community impact and the importance of upholding traditions.
Hopeful princesses actively participated in the Indigenous Fashion Show, organized by the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge, where their commitment to cultural heritage was celebrated among contemporary Indigenous fashion designers.
The crowning took place during the HTRS 3rd Annual Pow and Artisan Market on September 13, honouring the young leaders dedicated to making a positive difference in their communities. This inaugural pageant served as a powerful reminder of the significance of tradition, unity, and the role of youth in fostering connections within the community.
